The Reserve Bank of India declared the RBI Assistant Prelims result 2026 on May 25, 2026, on its official website at rbi.org.in. A total of 8,171 candidates have been shortlisted for the next stage of the recruitment process. The result was published in PDF format containing roll numbers of qualifying candidates.
The preliminary examination was conducted on April 11, 13, and 30, 2026, for recruitment to 650 Assistant posts across RBI regional offices nationwide. The maximum number of qualified candidates are from Mumbai, followed by New Delhi and Chennai.
Shortlisted candidates must now prepare for the RBI Assistant Mains examination scheduled on June 7, 2026. The Mains exam will be followed by a Language Proficiency Test, which is qualifying in nature. The final merit list will be based solely on Mains exam marks. Candidates can download the result PDF from the official website and search for their roll number using Ctrl+F.
