The University of Mumbai officially released the first merit list for undergraduate admissions for the academic year 2026-27 on May 26, 2026. The list is available on the centralised admission portal and covers affiliated colleges across Mumbai including BK Birla College, Rizvi College, St. Andrew’s College, and Sathaye College among others.
Mumbai University had opened UG admission registration from May 6, 2026 for courses such as BA, BCom, and BSc, along with specialised programmes in Data Science, Forensic Science, Film Studies, Aeronautics, and Nautical Science. Registration closed on May 21, 2026.
What students in the MU first merit list must do right now:
- Visit the official MU admission portal immediately
- Report to your allotted college within the given deadline
- Complete document verification in person
- Pay the admission fee online or at the college counter
- Failure to complete fee payment will result in seat cancellation
Documents required for MU 2026 admission:
- Class 10 and Class 12 marksheets
- School leaving certificate
- Domicile certificate (if applicable)
- Category certificate for reserved quota candidates
- Passport-size photographs
- Aadhaar card / photo identity proof
Classes for the 2026-27 academic year are scheduled to begin from June 13, 2026. Students who are not in the first merit list need not worry. The university releases multiple merit lists based on seat availability. Candidates should keep all documents ready and check the portal regularly for subsequent rounds.
