Today is the last day for 93,033 candidates allotted seats in the Delhi University CSAS UG Round 1 to accept their seats. The acceptance window closes at 11:59 PM tonight, July 18, 2026 at the official portal. The first seat allocation list was published on July 16 at 5:00 PM. Students who do not accept their seats before tonight’s deadline will have their allotments automatically cancelled. College-level document verification runs until July 20. Final fee payment to confirm admission must be completed by July 21.
According to official DU data, over 2,18,284 candidates completed Phase 2 preference filling by July 13. Students submitted a combined total of 1,59,42,385 unique programme and college preferences. Among those allotted, 51,014 are female and 42,019 are male. The university also allotted 1,243 Single Girl Child and 242 orphan candidate seats in Round 1.

After accepting the allotted seat and paying fees, candidates can opt for the upgrade facility until July 21, allowing them to reorder higher-preference choices for Round 2. If an upgrade materialises, the Round 1 fee adjusts automatically. If no upgrade is available, the original seat stays confirmed.
Why It Matters to Students
- Missing the July 18 deadline permanently cancels the allotment — no exceptions
- Accepting and paying fees does not lock you in permanently if you use the upgrade option before July 21
- Round 2 allocation is expected between July 25 and July 28 for candidates who opted for upgrade
Key Dates: Seat acceptance deadline July 18 | Document verification July 20 | Fee payment July 21 | Upgrade preference reorder July 21 | Round 2 expected July 25 to July 28
