Hyderabad, March 15, 2024: The Telangana government has announced its decision to conduct the Teachers Eligibility Test (TET) before initiating the teachers’ recruitment process through the District Selection Committee (DSC) examination system. This move comes in response to demands from job aspirants and aims to streamline the recruitment process.
Key Highlights:
- The state government had previously issued a notification for the recruitment of over 11,000 teachers through the DSC examination system.
- As TET qualification is mandatory for appearing in the DSC exam, there were requests from job seekers to conduct the TET exam.
- In light of these demands, the government has directed education department officials to expedite the TET process.
- Conducting TET before the DSC exam is expected to benefit approximately three lakh job aspirants in the state.
- The previous TET exam was reportedly held in September 2023.
About TET Exam:
The Teachers Eligibility Test is conducted in two levels:
1. Paper I: For candidates aspiring to teach classes from 1 to 5.
2. Paper II: For candidates aspiring to teach classes from 6 to 8.
AP TET 2024 Results Expected Today:
- Additionally, the Department of School Education in Andhra Pradesh is anticipated to declare the results of the Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (AP TET) today, March 15, 2024.
- Candidates who appeared for the exam can check their results and scorecards on the official website, aptet.apcfss.in
- The AP TET 2024 was conducted in two shifts from February 27 to March, and the final answer keys have already been published.
