New Delhi, March 16, 2024: The Election Committee (EC) of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) has announced the list of eligible candidates for the central panel and councilor positions in the upcoming students’ union elections.
List of Eligible Candidates:
Central Panel: A total of 141 candidates have been deemed eligible to contest for the central panel positions, which include President, Vice-President, General Secretary, and Joint Secretary.
- President: 35 candidates
- Vice-President: 37 candidates
- General Secretary: 38 candidates
- Joint Secretary: 31 candidates
Councilor Positions: Additionally, a list of 171 candidates has been released for the councilor positions from various schools within the university.
Participation:
- Students from approximately 20 schools of JNU will be participating in the upcoming polls, as per the EC data.
Further Proceedings:
- Nominations are currently open for withdrawal.
- A final list of candidates will be displayed by the EC at 3 PM.
