New Delhi, March 19, 2024: The National Entrance Screening Test (NEST) 2024 registration will commence tomorrow, March 20, as announced by the National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Bhubaneswar, and Mumbai University – Prospective candidates can find the NEST 2024 application form on the official website of the Department of Atomic Energy Centre for Excellence in Basic Sciences (UM-DAE CEBS) at nestexam.in.
Important Dates:
- Registration Starts: March 20, 2024
- Registration Deadline: May 31, 2024
- Admit Card Release: May 29, 2024
- Exam Date: June 30, 2024
NEST 2024 will offer a total of 200 seats, and the examination will be conducted on June 30 across 115 cities in India. Candidates are advised to complete the registration process before the deadline. The application correction window dates are yet to be announced.
NEST 2024: Eligibility Criteria
- Completion of Class 12 with a minimum aggregate of 60% from the Science stream.
- The last qualifying examination passed in 2021 or 2023.
- General or OBC category candidates must have scored a minimum of 60% aggregate in Class 12, while reserved category candidates require at least 55%.
- General or OBC category candidates must be born on or after August 1, 2003, with a maximum 5-year age relaxation for reserved category candidates.
NEST 2024: Application Fee
- General and OBC male candidates: Rs 1,400
- SC, ST, Divyangjan categories, and all female candidates: Rs 700
Payment of the application fee can be made through credit card, debit card, or net banking. Candidates should ensure they meet the eligibility criteria before proceeding with the application process.
