NEST 2024 registration window opens today at nestexam.in; exam pattern, eligibility criteria

New Delhi, March 20, 2024: The National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Bhubaneswar, has commenced the registration process for the National Entrance Screening Test (NEST) 2024 on March 20. Interested candidates can register for the NEST 2024 examination through the official website, nestexam.in.

NEST 2024 : Important Dates

  • Registration Deadline: Candidates can fill out the NEST 2024 application form until May 31.
  • Exam Date: The NEST 2024 exam is scheduled to be conducted on June 30.
  • Admit Card Release: Admit cards for the NEST 2024 exam will be available for download from June 15.
  • Result Declaration: The NEST 2024 results will be announced on July 10.

NEST 2024: Exam Pattern

  • Duration: The NEST 2024 exam will be held for 3 hours and 30 minutes.
  • Total Marks: The exam will consist of 68 questions worth 200 marks.
  • Sections: There will be four sections in the paper: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology.
  • Question Types: The exam will feature objective-type questions, including Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) and Multiple Selection Questions (MSQs).
  • Exam Mode: It will be conducted in an online mode (CBT) and the test language will be English only.

NEST 2024: Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates who have completed their Class 12 exams or equivalent in 2022, 2023, or are appearing in 2024, regardless of category and age, are eligible to apply for NEST 2024.
  • A minimum of 60% marks in aggregate (or equivalent grade) in Class 12 exams from any recognized board is required for eligibility. However, for reserved category candidates such as SC, ST, and Divyang candidates, the minimum requirement is 55%.
