NEST 2024 registration begins on March 30 for MSc admission

New Delhi, March 27, 2024: The National Entrance Screening Test (NEST) 2024 registration for admission to the five-year Integrated MSc program offered by NISER Bhubaneswar and the University of Mumbai will commence on March 30. The NEST exam is scheduled to be held on June 30, according to the latest notification.

NEST 2024 offers admission to MSc programs in Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics at the National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Bhubaneswar, and the University of Mumbai, Centre for Excellence in Basic Sciences (UM–DAE CEBS), located in Mumbai, under the Department of Atomic Energy.

Registration Details: Candidates interested in applying for NEST 2024 can register from March 30 onwards.
Exam Date: The NEST exam is slated to take place on June 30.
Syllabus: The exam will be based on the rationalized syllabus of NCERT Class 11 and 12 textbooks.
Scholarships: Successful candidates will qualify for an annual scholarship of Rs 60,000 through the DISHA program of the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India.
Additionally, they will receive a grant of Rs 20,000 per annum for summer internships.
Further Opportunities: Top performers at NISER and UM-DAE CEBS, as well as those meeting the prescribed cut-off, will be eligible to appear directly for the interview for admission to the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) training school.

NEST 2024: Eligibility Criteria

Candidates should have passed the Class 12 board exam from any recognized education board in India in 2022 or 2023. Those appearing for the Class 12 board exam in 2024 are also eligible.
Applicants should have studied the science stream in Class 12 and secured at least 60% marks in aggregate (55% for SC, and ST candidates).
There is no age limit for appearing in the NEST 2024 examination.
