New Delhi, March 29, 2024: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the recruitment notification for Junior Engineer (JE) positions in civil, mechanical, and electrical engineering disciplines. Approximately 968 vacancies across various departments. The registration process commenced on March 28 and will close on April 18. Candidates who completed the One-Time Registration (OTR) process on the old website must register again on ssc.gov.in as the previous OTR will not be considered valid.
Exam Dates:
Paper 1: Scheduled from June 4 to June 6.
Paper 2: To be announced later.
Salary Package: Pay matrix of the 7th Central Pay Commission, ranging from Rs 35,400 to Rs 1,12,400.
Application Fee: Rs 100 for general candidates; exempted for women, SC, ST, PwD, and ex-servicemen.
Age Reckoning: August 1, 2024, with relaxation provided for reserved category candidates.
Exam Pattern for SSC JE 2024:
Paper 1:
General Intelligence and Reasoning: 50 marks
General Awareness: 50 marks
Part-A: General Engineering (Civil and Structural) or Part-B: General Engineering (Electrical) or Part-C: General Engineering (Mechanical): 100 marks
Paper 2:
Part-A: General Engineering (Civil and Structural) or Part-B: General Engineering (Electrical) or Part-C: General Engineering (Mechanical): 100 questions carrying 300 marks
