3,500 'Tainted' Non-Teaching Staff Listed by WB SSCNewsIMTS

3,500 "tainted" non-teaching staff were identified by the West Bengal School Service Commission (SSC) on Monday night. These staff members are part of the 26,000 people whose jobs were invalidated by the Supreme Court on 3 April 2024. The court had declared the entire this year recruitment process "vitiated and tainted." Among the listed staff, 2,349 belonged to Group D category and 1,163 worked as Group C. These tainted individuals will be barred from fresh recruitment tests. The SSC has already begun accepting applications for new non-teaching positions since 3 November. The commission plans to fill 2,989 Group C and 5,488 Group D posts in this recruitment drive. At least 50 applications were submitted by Monday midnight. West Bengal SSC Identifies 3,500 'Tainted' Staff Members

The West Bengal School Service Commission (SSC) has released a list of 3,500 non-teaching staff members labeled as 'tainted' on Monday night. These employees are among the 26,000 workers whose appointments were invalidated by the Supreme Court on April 3, 2024. The court had declared the entire 2016 recruitment process as 'vitiated and tainted.' The identified staff includes 2,349 from Group D category and 1,163 from Group C positions. These individuals will not be allowed to participate in the fresh recruitment tests that are currently underway.

Fresh Recruitment Process Begins for Non-Teaching Posts

The West Bengal SSC has started accepting applications for new non-teaching positions since November 3. The commission aims to fill 2,989 Group C and 5,488 Group D posts in this recruitment drive. By Monday midnight, at least 50 applications had already been submitted. This fresh recruitment follows the Supreme Court's invalidation of the previous hiring process. The commission is also expected to publish results of recent teacher recruitment tests for classes 9-12 in the first and second weeks of November, marking a significant step in rebuilding the recruitment system.
