Rajasthan Board to Conduct Class 10-12 Exams Twice a Year
Starting from the academic year 2026-27, the Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education (RBSE) will conduct board examinations for Classes 10 and 12 twice a year. This significant change was announced by Rajasthan's Education Minister Madan Dilawar through his official social media account. The first examination will be mandatory for all students, while the second one will be optional. Students can choose to improve their scores in up to three subjects in the second attempt. Both examinations will cover the complete syllabus, and the best marks from either attempt will be considered for the final result.
Benefits of the New Examination System for Students
The new examination system aims to reduce stress among students by giving them more opportunities to perform well. If students are not satisfied with their performance in the first attempt, they can take the exam again to improve their scores. This approach aligns with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 guidelines and provides what Education Minister Dilawar calls a "golden chance" for students who couldn't score well in their first attempt.
