CTET 2026 Exam : Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2026 is being conducted today, February 7, by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). These exams are being held at several centers across India.There are thousands of teaching aspirants appearing on the first day. The CTET exams will also continue tomorrow on 8 February, as per the revised schedule released by CBSE.
CBSE is conducting the CTET 2026 Exam on two days to manage the large number of candidates. The test is conducted in two shifts. Paper II, for candidates who want to teach classes 6 to 8 which is held in the morning shift from 9:30 am to 12:00 noon. Paper I, for candidates aiming to teach classes 1 to 5, is scheduled in the afternoon shift from 2:30 pm to 5:00 pm. Candidates are advised to reach their exam centres before the reporting time mentioned on the admit card.
CTET is a national level eligibility exam for recruitment of teachers in Kendriya Vidyalayas, Navodaya Vidyalayas, and other central government schools. Many state governments and private schools also consider CTET scores during teacher recruitment.
Admit card of CTET 2026 Exam has already been released on their official website. Candidates who are appearing today must carry their admit card along with valid photos and identity proof to the examination centre. CBSE has clearly mentioned that there is no entry allowed without an admit card and late entry is strictly prohibited.
CTET 2026 Exam Strict Guidelines for Candidates
- Candidates must carry their admit card along with valid ID proof and photo.
- Report at the examination centre before exam time.
- Mobile phones, smart watches or any other electronic devices are not allowed inside the examination hall.
As per the official information the CTET 2026 Exam is being conducted in more than 140 sites. The exam is held in offline mode. Each paper consists of multiple-choice questions, and there is no negative marking for wrong answers.
After the examination process is complete, CBSE is expected to release the CTET 2026 results in March.
