The National Testing Agency has kept the NEET UG 2026 fee refund portal active until May 27, 2026, at 11:50 PM. This is the final deadline for eligible candidates to claim their examination fee refund. No extension has been announced by the NTA so far.
The refund facility was activated after the NEET UG 2026 exam held on May 3 was cancelled following confirmed reports of a coordinated question paper leak. The Supreme Court sharply criticised the NTA over the incident. Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan subsequently announced a fresh re-examination on June 21, 2026, for over 23 lakh medical aspirants affected by the cancellation.
Candidates must log in to the NTA registration portal with their credentials and submit bank details accurately. The NTA has clarified that all information submitted will be treated as final. Uploading a cancelled cheque to verify bank account details is optional but recommended. Students who wish to appear for the re-exam and also want a refund must ensure they complete the process before tonight’s deadline.
