The Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka has officially declared the COMEDK UGET 2026 result on May 29, 2026, at the official website comedk.org. Candidates who appeared for the entrance examination can now log in with their application number and password to download their rank cards.
The COMEDK UGET 2026 examination was conducted on May 9, 2026, in computer-based mode across two shifts — morning and afternoon. Approximately 1.30 lakh candidates had registered for the test this year, out of which around 1.29 lakh students appeared on the exam day. The result has been released in rank card format displaying each candidate’s percentile scores, overall rank, and personal details.
The consortium had initially scheduled the result for 4 PM but later delayed the declaration to 6 PM on the same day due to technical preparations on the backend portal.
COMEDK UGET 2026 Counselling: What Comes Next
Qualified candidates are now eligible to participate in the centralised online counselling process conducted by the consortium for admission into approximately 150 unaided private engineering colleges in Karnataka.
Candidates must pay a counselling participation fee of Rs 2,000 through the official website. Seat allotment will be based on the candidate’s rank, preferences submitted during choice locking, available seats, and applicable reservation criteria. The consortium is expected to release the detailed counselling schedule shortly on comedk.org.
COMEDK UGET 2026 Tie-Breaking Criteria
In cases where two or more candidates obtain the same percentile, the consortium will apply the following tie-breaking rules in order:
- Priority to the candidate with the fewest wrong answers across Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry
- If the tie remains, the aggregate score in Physics and Mathematics will be compared
- If still tied, individual score in Mathematics alone will be the deciding factor
- As the final tiebreaker, the older candidate will be ranked higher based on date of birth
