The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) officially closes its registration and choice filling window today, June 11, 2026 at 5:00 PM at @josaa.nic.in. After this deadline, the system will auto-lock all preferences and no further edits will be accepted. The Round 1 actual seat allotment will be declared on June 13, 2026 at 10:00 AM, covering 67,323 engineering seats across 23 IITs including IISc Bangalore for the first time, 31 NITs, 26 IIITs, and 40 plus GFTIs. This is the most critical deadline in the entire JoSAA 2026 process.

What Students Must Do Before 5 PM Today
- Visit @josaa.nic.in and log in with JEE Main 2026 Application Number and Password
- Review the entire preference list one final time
- Ensure the most preferred and realistic choices are placed at the top
- Add any last-minute choices that may have been missed
- Do not wait until 4:55 PM — heavy server traffic is expected in the final minutes
- The system will auto-lock at 5 PM regardless of whether you manually submit

Candidates who miss the June 14 online reporting deadline after Round 1 allotment will have their seat permanently cancelled and will not be eligible for any further rounds. The withdrawal fee is Rs 3,000 with the remaining amount refunded.
