The SSC CGL 2026 Correction Window has opened today at ssc.gov.in, giving candidates a chance to fix errors in their submitted forms before the recruitment process moves ahead. As of the last count before applications closed, the Staff Selection Commission had received 28,52,665 applications for the Combined Graduate Level exam, including 8,24,211 for the Junior Statistical Officer post and 13,11,781 for Assistant Audit Officer, against a total of 12,256 vacancies announced across Group B and Group C posts this cycle.
Correction Window Timeline
The SSC CGL 2026 Correction Window will remain active from July 1 to July 3, 2026, until 11 PM, giving candidates a short but defined period to review and update their submitted details. This follows a run of extensions in the application timeline itself:

- The original application deadline was June 22, later extended to June 25 after candidate requests
- Fee payment was accepted until June 26
- The correction facility now runs for three days, closing on July 3
Only candidates who have successfully paid the application fee within the deadline are eligible to use the correction facility — those with pending payments cannot access it.
How to Make Corrections
To use the SSC One Time Registration edit facility and update their SSC CGL form, candidates need to follow these steps:
- Visit ssc.gov.in and log in using registered OTR credentials
- Navigate to the “Application Correction” section for CGL 2026
- Edit the permitted fields — personal details, category information, or uploaded documents, depending on what’s editable this cycle
- Pay the applicable correction fee, since SSC has clarified this charge applies to all candidate categories
- Review all changes carefully and resubmit
Candidates are allowed to resubmit a corrected application a maximum of two times during this window, so it’s worth reviewing the form thoroughly before making changes rather than submitting corrections piecemeal.
What Comes Next
Once the correction window closes on July 3, no further changes are expected to be permitted before the exam. The SSC CGL Tier 1 exam is tentatively scheduled for August–September 2026, with Tier 2 expected in December. Candidates are advised to double-check category, photograph, and educational details now, since mismatches at this stage can create complications later during document verification.
