The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) is yet to release the official CLAT 2027 Notification, and as of 10 July 2026, aspirants are awaiting its release, which is anticipated around 15-16 July 2026 on the official website, consortiumofnlus.ac.in. Once published, the notification is expected to confirm the exam date, application window, eligibility norms, and fee structure for admission to India’s National Law Universities. The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2027 exam itself is expected to be held on 6 December 2026, following the Consortium’s established pattern of conducting the test on the first Sunday of December.
CLAT 2027 Notification: What Is Expected
According to the anticipated schedule, registration for CLAT 2027 is likely to open around 1 August 2026 and remain open for roughly three months. The exam is expected to be conducted in offline, pen-and-paper mode across more than 130 cities in India. Ahead of this year’s cycle, an Expert Committee has reportedly been formed by the Consortium to review question quality and structure, meaning aspirants should be prepared for a possible refinement in the exam pattern once the notification is out.
