The IGNOU Admission Last Date for the July 2026 session has been extended, giving aspiring students more time to apply. Alongside this, the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has also released the practical date sheet for the June Term-End Examination (TEE), which will be important for currently enrolled students.
IGNOU Admission Last Date: New Deadline Announced
IGNOU announced through its official social media handle that the IGNOU Admission Last Date for fresh admissions to the July 2026 cycle has been extended till 31 July 2026 for all notified programmes offered in both Open and Distance Learning (ODL) and Online mode. This extension pushes the deadline forward from the earlier date of 15 July, giving candidates additional time to complete their applications. The last date for Online Re-registration for the July 2026 session has also been extended to 31 July 2026 for all ODL and Online programmes.
How to Apply Before the IGNOU Admission Last Date
Candidates planning to apply before the IGNOU Admission Last Date can follow these steps:
- Visit the official admission portal — ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in for ODL programmes, or ignouiop.samarth.edu.in for online programmes.
- Complete registration using an active email address and mobile number.
- Have your APAAR ID ready before beginning the application process.
- Fill in personal, academic, and programme details, and upload the required documents.
- Pay the applicable fee to complete submission.
Students are also advised that they can apply for Government of India scholarships through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) once their admission is confirmed.
June TEE Practical Date Sheet Released
Separately, IGNOU has released the practical date sheet for the June 2026 Term-End Examination. According to the schedule, the June TEE practical exams will begin on 22 July 2026, and will be conducted at various IGNOU Study Centres for Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Diploma, and Certificate programmes. Enrolled students appearing for practicals are advised to download the date sheet from the official IGNOU announcements section and check their exam schedule carefully.
