Candidates who qualified the Telangana Education Common Entrance Test can now begin the admission process, as TS EdCET 2026 Phase 1 counselling registration opened on 21 July 2026 and will remain active till 28 July 2026. As of 22 July 2026, the registration window is live on the official portal, edcetadm.tgche.ac.in, allowing eligible candidates to pay the processing fee and move ahead with certificate verification for admission into two-year B.Ed courses across Telangana.
Registration Window: Key Dates to Note
The counselling process is being conducted by Kakatiya University, Warangal, on behalf of the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TGCHE). Candidates have a one-week window, from 21 to 28 July, to complete online registration and pay the counselling processing fee. This is the first of two main counselling phases, with a spot round expected later to fill any seats left vacant after Phase 2.
What Happens After Registration
Registration alone does not complete the process. Once a candidate registers and pays the fee, the next step is booking a slot for certificate verification, which is conducted at designated help centres. Candidates carrying special category claims — such as NCC, CAP, PH, or Sports — must get their supporting certificates physically verified during this stage, as this is the only part of the otherwise online process requiring in-person attendance. A list of verified candidates is subsequently released before the choice-filling stage begins.
How to Register for TS EdCET Counselling 2026
Candidates can follow these steps to complete their registration:
- Visit the official counselling portal, edcetadm.tgche.ac.in.
- Click on the “Counselling Fee Payment” link.
- Enter your hall ticket number and date of birth to log in.
- Pay the counselling processing fee via card or net banking.
- Book a slot and centre for certificate verification.
- Keep your TS EdCET Counselling and original documents ready for the verification stage.
After certificate verification is complete, candidates move to the web options stage, where they log back into the portal to enter their preferred colleges and specialisation choices in order of priority. Since seat allotment depends heavily on the order of preferences submitted, candidates are advised to register a wide range of choices rather than a narrow list.
