TANCET MBA colleges: Anna University has confirmed the updated line-up of top TANCET MBA colleges for 2026 admissions, with more than 230 institutions across Tamil Nadu now accepting scores from the entrance test. According to the latest data, over 40,000 aspirants competed for close to 15,000 MBA seats this season, and the leading business schools on this list typically admit candidates who score 92 percentile or above.
As of 28 July 2026, Anna University has already declared the TANCET 2026 results, with scorecards available to candidates since 27 May 2026, allowing shortlisted students to begin tracking counselling schedules for the upcoming academic session.

Which Institutes Feature Among the TANCET MBA colleges
The current ranking includes the College of Engineering, Guindy, SSN College of Engineering, Easwari Engineering College, and PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore, all of which draw large applicant pools each counselling round. Women-focused institutes such as MOP Vaishnav College for Women and D.D. Goverdhan Doss Vaishnav College also rank among the preferred choices for management aspirants in Chennai.
Beyond this core group, university departments of Anna University, PSG Institute of Management, Thiagarajar School of Management, and Bharathidasan Institute of Management continue to draw strong applicant interest for their state-quota seats, thanks to established placement records and experienced faculty across finance, marketing, and operations streams.
Fees, Ratings and Eligibility at Leading Institutes
SSN College of Engineering, established in 1996 at Kancheepuram, holds a NAAC A grade and charges roughly INR 4,00,000 for its two-year MBA programme; besides the state entrance test, it also accepts CAT, MAT, XAT, and ATMA scores for lateral eligibility. Its constituent unit, SSN School of Management, was set up in 2000 and carries a NAAC A+ rating, reflecting the consistently high academic standards maintained across SSN’s management courses.
Most institutes on this list are AICTE-approved, which keeps fee structures, faculty qualifications, and curriculum broadly comparable across campuses, giving candidates a fair basis for comparison before locking in their preferences.
Placement Trends and Career Outlook
Placement cells at most of these colleges report steady recruiter interest from Infosys, TCS, Wipro, ICICI Bank, HDFC, and Ashok Leyland, spanning specialisations in finance, marketing, human resources, and systems management. With over 200 colleges statewide accepting TANCET scores, aspiring managers have a wide spread of options, though the top-ranked institutes remain the most competitive given their consistent placement records and long-standing industry linkages built over several decades of operation.
