The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Jodhpur has introduced a new four-year BS in Management and Technology, an interdisciplinary undergraduate programme designed for an AI-driven economy. Admissions are underway, with classes scheduled to begin in August 2026. It’s a no-JEE-required admission route, opening the door to students from science, commerce, arts, or any other stream.
Eligibility for the Management and Technology Programme
Candidates must have passed Class 12 or an equivalent examination with at least 60% aggregate marks (50% for reserved categories) in any stream. Students who have already appeared for their Class 12 exams and are awaiting results can also apply provisionally. Since no JEE score is required for admission, the programme is open to a far wider pool of applicants than IIT Jodhpur’s traditional B.Tech routes.
Admission Process
Candidates seeking a seat in the programme need to follow these steps:
- Complete the online application form and upload the required documents
- Pay a registration fee of Rs 999 for the admission process
- Appear for the qualifier test conducted by IIT Jodhpur
- Participate in the counselling round, if shortlisted
- Receive the provisional admission offer upon selection
- Pay the first-year programme fee within 10 days to confirm the seat
The application portal is open to candidates from any academic background within the prescribed timeline, and no entrance exam beyond the qualifier test is involved.
Curriculum and Programme Structure
The BS in Management and Technology follows a four-year, eight-semester structure comprising 141 credits and is aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. The curriculum spans emerging fields such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, fintech, cloud computing, and digital marketing, blending technology skills with core management training.
Learning is delivered through a mix of recorded lectures, live interactive classes, and weekend doubt-clearing sessions, making the programme accessible to students who may not be based in Jodhpur. Students also get the option of campus immersion sessions to experience IIT Jodhpur’s academic environment first-hand. A flexible, multi-exit structure allows learners to walk away with recognised qualifications at different stages if they are unable to complete all four years.
