IISER Seat Allotment: Key Details
The Round 2 allotment has been prepared based on candidates’ IAT 2026 rank, the preferences submitted during counselling, and seat availability across the seven participating campuses: Berhampur, Bhopal, Kolkata, Mohali, Pune, Thiruvananthapuram and Tirupati. This follows the Round 1 seat allotment, which was declared on 24 July 2026, after registration and choice filling closed on 9 July 2026.

Last Date To Pay The Seat Acceptance Fee
Candidates who receive an offer in Round 2 must submit their willingness and pay the Seat Acceptance Fee (SAF) by 5 August 2026. The institute has clarified that candidates who miss this deadline will lose their allotted seat and will not be considered for further rounds. The SAF amount varies by category:
- General/EWS/OBC/OBC-NCL/PwD/KM/Kashmiri Pandit/Kashmiri Hindu Families (Non-Migrants): Rs 35,000 (Rs 25,000 plus a non-refundable administrative fee of Rs 10,000).
- SC/ST: Rs 17,500 (Rs 12,500 plus a non-refundable administrative fee of Rs 5,000).
The fee must be paid only after an offer of admission has been made, and payment is required as per the category mentioned in the candidate’s offer letter.
