SBI Junior Associate 2026 Vacancy Details
SBI has notified 7,680 regular posts across various circles and states, covering 24 circles in total. Among the major circles, Maharashtra/Mumbai Metro has the highest allocation, followed by Chennai, Bhubaneswar, and Bengaluru, with smaller shares distributed across the remaining regions. Candidates can apply for a vacancy in only one state or Union Territory, based on where they wish to serve. Separately, SBI has also opened a special recruitment drive for SC/ST/OBC backlog vacancies under a different advertisement, but candidates should note this is a distinct process from the regular 2026 cycle and carries its own application window.
Eligibility Criteria for SBI Junior Associate Recruitment
To apply for the SBI Junior Associate 2026 exam, candidates must hold a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognised university. The age limit is 20 to 28 years, calculated as of the eligibility date specified in the notification, meaning applicants must be born between 02 April 1998 and 01 April 2006. Age relaxation applies to reserved categories as per government norms. Applicants must also be proficient in the local language of the state or Union Territory they are applying for, since local language proficiency is verified after selection.
