As per the official prospectus released on 13 August 2026, the last date to submit the Round 1 online application is 17 August 2026, up to 11:55 PM.
Candidates seeking admission under the state quota, management quota, or NRI quota must register on the AMRU counselling portal within this window. The HP NEET Counselling 2026 covers six government medical colleges, one government dental college, three private dental colleges, and Maharishi Markandeshwar Medical College, Kumarhatti.
HP NEET UG Counselling 2026: Key Dates
As per the AMRU prospectus, the Round 1 schedule is:
- Online application: 13 to 17 August 2026
- Provisional merit list: 18 August 2026
- Final merit list: 19 August 2026
- Choice filling (college/course/quota): 21 to 23 August 2026
- Provisional seat allocation: 25 August 2026
- Final seat allocation: 26 August 2026
- Reporting to allotted college: 28–29 August 2026
Candidates who miss Round 1 can apply afresh between 31 August and 2 September 2026 for Round 2.
Eligibility and Application Fee for HP NEET Counselling 2026
Candidates must have qualified NEET-UG-2026 to apply. State quota seats require bonafide Himachali status (with exemptions for children of government employees and defence personnel), while management quota seats are open to all NEET-qualified Indian candidates regardless of domicile.
The application fee is ₹2,500 for General, NRI, OBC and other categories, ₹1,500 for SC/ST/EWS candidates, and free for PwD candidates.

AMRU conducts this centralised counselling for the 85% state quota seats in government medical and dental colleges, plus all seats in private unaided institutions. Colleges covered include Indira Gandhi Medical College (Shimla), Dr. RPGMC (Kangra), Dr. YSPGMC (Nahan), SLBS Government Medical College (Mandi), PJLN Government Medical College (Chamba), Dr. RKGMC (Hamirpur), H.P. Government Dental College (Shimla), private dental colleges in Sunder Nagar, Nalagarh and Paonta Sahib, and Maharishi Markandeshwar Medical College, Solan.
