The result covers admission to first-year MBBS and BDS courses for the 2026 session in Government Medical and Dental Colleges of Assam, and is available for download.
How to Download the Seat Allotment Result
Candidates whose names appeared in the Seat Allotment Result provisional merit list and who participated in Round 1 counselling can check their status by following these steps:
- Visit the official DME Assam website, dme.assam.gov.in.
- Go to the Latest Announcement or Admission Notice section.
- Open the Round 1 provisional selection list PDF for the 2026 session.
- Use the search function to look up your NEET roll number, application number, or name.
- Check your NEET score, Assam state rank, category, and allotted college.
- Download and print the allotment letter for the admission process.
The published selection list runs across 192 pages and lists candidate-wise details including serial number, NEET rank, roll number, application number, score, state rank, category, and the allotted institution. Some entries may show “NA – Choice Not Available,” which candidates should interpret using the instructions in the official PDF rather than as a confirmed admission.
Reporting Schedule and Admission Fees
Candidates who have been provisionally selected must report to the Principal’s office at their allotted Government Medical or Dental College on 4 and 5 September 2026 to complete admission. PwD (Divyang) candidates must additionally appear for disability verification by the medical board on 3 and 4 September 2026 at 10 AM, at the Office of the Principal cum Chief Superintendent, Gauhati Medical College and Hospital. Selected candidates should be prepared to pay admission and counselling fees of approximately ₹25,000 at the time of reporting. Candidates who fail to report within the prescribed period risk having their allotment cancelled.
Documents Required for Admission
Candidates reporting to their allotted college should carry these original documents along with applicable annexures specified under the MBBS/BDS admission rules:
- Original HSLC admit card, mark sheet, and pass certificate
- Original HSSLC (or equivalent) admit card, mark sheet, and pass certificate
- Caste certificate, wherever applicable
- Other original documents as specified by the counselling authority
Documents must be deposited with the Principal of the allotted college at admission, and candidates should obtain an acknowledgement for the same.
Important Note on Selection Status
DME Assam has clarified that the Round 1 list is provisional and subject to fulfilment of required documents and applicable UG admission rules at the time of reporting. Candidates should not treat any individual allotment as an official category-wise cutoff unless DME Assam separately publishes a cutoff statement, and should rely only on the official website for further updates rather than unofficial sources.
