Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan will be launching the MoE-AICTE Investor Network on January 31st. The initiative aims to provide financial, mentoring and strategic support to early-stage startups by students and faculty.
By encouraging private investment in such academic ventures, the network seeks to foster innovation and entrepreneurship across India’s education sector. It offers investors exclusive access to collaborate with and fund transformational edtech ideas.
The launch event will be attended by Higher Education Secretary Sanjay K Murthy, AICTE Chairman TG Sitharam and 50 investor/industry leaders from diverse domains. An interactive session is also planned to discuss the future of education technology and innovation with the Minister.
As per AICTE Chairman Sitharam, this network will connect investors with innovative minds in higher education institutions to accelerate the Viksit Bharat vision by 2047. It marks an important milestone in realising the Ministry’s goal of building a thriving ecosystem for edtech entrepreneurship and advancement.
The Ministry of Education (MoE) and All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) will launch the MoE-AICTE Investor Network to support early-stage student and faculty-led startups. This initiative aims to encourage private investment in education startups and foster collaboration among investors. It will bridge the gap between investors and educational initiatives, advancing innovation and entrepreneurship in education. A total of 50 investors and industry leaders will participate in the launch, along with discussions on the future of education and technology. The network aims to contribute to India’s development goals by 2047.
