February 13th, 2024, West Bengal: The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education has announced revised timings for upcoming higher secondary (HS) or Class 12 board examinations 2024 spanning February 16th to 29th.
As per the circular, apart from physical education, visual arts, music, and vocational electives being 2 hours long, the remaining papers will now be conducted from 9:45 AM to 1:00 PM daily.
This also denotes the suspension of primary section classes on HS exam days for schools having integrated premises.

The council highlighted that CCTV monitoring arrangements are mandated at all test centers entry gates and supervisor rooms till March 28th for recording purposes as per the latest government directives.
The notifications outline preventive vigilance mechanisms against potential leaks or malpractices that recently disrupted exam sanctity.
By reaching well in advance and attempting respective tests diligently, nearly 8 lakh enrolled examinees should complete their HS board exam rigor smoothly within stipulated hours.
