New Delhi, February 28, 2024: The Centre for Science and Environment (CSE) recently felicitated the five most outstanding schools under its Green Schools Programme for their initiatives around waste management, water conservation, land utilization, energy savings, and clean air measures. Two additional institutions won special ‘Changemaker Awards’ this year.
The winners were selected basis of rigorous assessment of sustainable processes and metrics tracking by CSE over years of participation. Schools need to strive to become ‘resource efficient’ across the usage of water, energy, fuel, raw materials etc through creative low-cost community-led solutions.
