Noida, August 21, 2026: Akash Mishra, a former employee of IMTS Institute, has been named in a police complaint filed by the institute over the alleged non-return of company-issued electronic equipment following his resignation.
According to the complaint, Akash Mishra worked as a Senior Education Counsellor in the Admission Department at IMTS Institute. During his employment, the institute reportedly provided him with company-owned equipment for official work, including a Dell laptop and a Redmi 9i mobile phone.
The laptop was recorded under asset code IMTS/L/134, with serial number 7P42T72, while the mobile phone was listed under asset code IMTS/M/083.
The matter reportedly began after Akash Mishra submitted his resignation on August 12, 2026. Documents submitted by IMTS indicate that Mishra acknowledged having company assets in his possession, including the laptop, mobile phone, chargers and mouse, and indicated that the equipment could be returned.
Following the resignation, IMTS Institute’s HR department instructed Akash Mishra to hand over all company-issued assets in proper working condition. On August 13, 2026, the institute issued a final warning directing the return of the listed equipment by 5 PM on August 14, 2026.
According to IMTS Institute, the laptop was not subsequently returned. The institute has approached the police seeking assistance in recovering the laptop and other company-owned property allegedly retained after Mishra’s departure.
IMTS said it has maintained asset registers, equipment-allotment records and photographs of identification tags as documentation supporting its ownership of the equipment.
The complaint also raises concerns about possible unauthorised access to confidential company information that may be stored on the laptop. IMTS has requested an investigation and appropriate legal action in the matter.
The allegations involving Akash Mishra have not been independently established. The filing of a police complaint does not itself establish criminal guilt, and any liability will be determined through due process of law.
