The National Testing Agency (NTA) has successfully conducted the first day of the CUET PG 2026 examination on 6 March 2026. The exam was held in three shifts across multiple test centres nationwide. Candidates can check updates and download admit cards through the official website at exams.nta.ac.in.

CUET PG 2026 Shift-Wise Exam Timings

Each shift was conducted for 90 minutes and included multiple-choice questions (MCQs).

CUET PG 2026 Day 1: Paper Analysis & Difficulty Level

Based on initial feedback from candidates and subject experts, the difficulty level for Day 1 papers is summarised below:

CUET PG 2026 Sanskrit Paper Analysis

Initial reactions from candidates indicate the Sanskrit paper was easy to moderate in difficulty. Major topics asked in the paper include:

  • Sanskrit Grammar (Vyakarana)
  • Samasa, Shabda Rupa, and Dhatu Rupa
  • Karak and Vibhakti concepts
  • Classical literature and Alankara
  • Indian philosophy and translation-based questions

The paper focused on conceptual understanding and fundamental grammar knowledge.

CUET PG 2026 Expected Cutoff (Category-Wise)

Early estimates suggest the following tentative qualifying marks out of 300:

For language papers such as Sanskrit and Hindi, the expected cutoff is estimated around 180–185 marks. Official cutoffs will be released by participating universities after results are declared.

CUET PG 2026 Answer Key: Expected Release

The CUET PG 2026 provisional answer key is expected to be released by the NTA shortly after the examination concludes on 27 March 2026. Candidates will be able to:

  • Download the provisional answer key from exams.nta.ac.in
  • Raise objections within the specified window by paying ₹200 per question
  • The final answer key will be published after reviewing objections

CUET PG 2026 Result: Expected Timeline

The CUET PG 2026 result is expected to be declared in early April 2026 after evaluation is completed.

  • Scorecards will be available online at exams.nta.ac.in
  • Candidates can download using Application Number and Date of Birth
  • Scorecard will display section-wise marks, total score, percentile, and rank

CUET PG 2026 Exam Day Guidelines

Candidates appearing for the remaining shifts are advised to follow these guidelines:

  • Reporting Time: Reach the exam centre at least 60 minutes before the scheduled shift
  • Required Documents: Carry a printed copy of the CUET PG 2026 admit card and a valid photo ID (Aadhaar, Passport, PAN, Voter ID, or Driving Licence)
  • Prohibited Items: Mobile phones, smartwatches, calculators, and electronic gadgets are not allowed
  • Dress Code: Wear simple and comfortable clothing; avoid heavy jewellery and caps

  • Step 2: Click on the CUET PG 2026 Admit Card link on the homepage
  • Step 3: Enter your Application Number and Date of Birth
  • Step 4: Submit the details and view the admit card
  • Step 5: Download and take a printout for exam day
