Delhi University has released the UG Information Bulletin 2026 for undergraduate admissions to the academic session 2026-27. The admission to all UG programmes across 91 constituent colleges will be based entirely on CUET UG 2026 scores. Approximately 70,000 seats are available.

The DU CSAS portal for UG admission is expected to open in June 2026, after the declaration of CUET UG results. The entire admission process will be conducted online through the Common Seat Allocation System at admission.uod.ac.in. The process is expected to be completed by August 2026.

Delhi University is one of the most sought-after universities in India for undergraduate education. Top colleges like Miranda House, Hindu College, Hansraj College, St. Stephen’s and SRCC attract thousands of applicants every year. The university holds NAAC A++ accreditation.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates must have passed Class 12 or equivalent examination from a recognised board.
  • CUET UG appearance is mandatory for all regular programmes.
  • Some courses may require a minimum percentage in Class 12.
  • DU has introduced a 50 per cent syllabus overlap rule for CUET subject mapping. Students must choose CUET subjects that match or are closely related to their Class 12 subjects.

How to Apply: Step-by-Step Process

  • Step 1: Register for CUET UG 2026 at nta.nic.in (registration now closed).
  • Step 2: Appear for CUET UG exam from 11 to 31 May 2026.
  • Step 3: After CUET results, register on the DU CSAS portal at uod.ac.in.
  • Step 4: Fill in college and programme preferences carefully.
  • Step 5: Participate in seat allocation rounds and confirm admission at the allotted college.

CSAS Admission Process

The DU CSAS admission process has three phases:

  • Phase 1: Registration and submission of personal and academic details.
  • Phase 2: Filling college and programme preferences.
  • Phase 3: Seat allocation based on merit, preferences and availability.

Delhi University releases simulated ranks before the final allocation to help students assess their chances. Students can reorder their preferences based on these ranks.

Fee Structure

The DU UG admission registration fee ranges from ₹500 to ₹1,500 depending on the category and course. The annual tuition fee at DU colleges ranges from ₹10,120 to ₹2,46,960 depending on the programme.

Reservation Policy

  • Reservation follows Government of India norms with seats reserved for SC, ST, OBC-NCL, EWS and PwBD categories.
  • OBC-NCL certificates must be issued after 31 March 2026.
  • EWS certificates must also be issued after the same date for the 2026-27 admission cycle.

Supernumerary Seats

DU also offers supernumerary seats for sports quota, ECA quota, single girl child, Kashmiri migrants and wards of armed forces personnel. Separate admission processes apply for these categories alongside the CUET-based merit admission.
