The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) officially opened its registration and choice filling process on June 2, 2026, one day after the JEE Advanced 2026 results were declared. All candidates with a valid JEE Main 2026 rank or JEE Advanced 2026 rank can now register and fill their programme preferences at josaa.nic.in. The last date to complete registration and choice filling is June 11, 2026 at 5:00 PM.
This is the most important step for over 2.5 lakh engineering aspirants who will compete for seats across India’s premier government-funded technical institutions.

Who Can Register
- Candidates with a JEE Advanced 2026 rank are eligible for IIT seats
- Candidates with a JEE Main 2026 rank are eligible for NIT, IIIT, and GFTI seats
- Class 12 minimum aggregate of 75% is required for IIT admission (65% for SC/ST/PwD)
- No registration fee is charged
How to Register at josaa.nic.in
- Visit josaa.nic.in and click New Candidate Registration
- Authenticate using your JEE Main application number, name, mother’s name, and date of birth
- Verify OTP sent to registered mobile number and email
- Begin choice filling immediately after registration
- Lock choices before June 11 as unlocked choices will not be considered
