On 15 July 2026, the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) announced a massive leap forward in its public education system with the launch of the MCD EduLife 2.0 portal. Unveiled by Delhi Mayor Pravesh Wahi at the Civic Centre, this centralized digital platform is designed to revolutionize how school administration operates while actively involving parents in their children’s learning journeys. Representing an innovative system designed for municipal school student tracking, the portal will connect key stakeholders to ensure greater transparency and institutional accountability across more than 1,500 primary schools in the national capital.
Revolutionizing Classroom Administration and Teacher Efficiency
Historically, primary school educators and administrators in municipal schools have spent significant hours on tedious paperwork, compiles, and manual reporting. The new MCD EduLife 2.0 portal changes this entirely by digitizing academic planning, student records, and day-to-day administrative tasks.

Under the new digitized framework, data is updated periodically to the server. This allows municipal education officials to instantly retrieve vital statistics for policy decisions, right-to-information (RTI) queries, and house questions without burdening school staff. Furthermore, the platform comes loaded with National Education Policy (NEP) 2020-compliant digital tools, including worksheets, lesson planners, and assessment modules, freeing up teachers to dedicate more time directly to classroom instruction.
Empowering Parents Through Real-Time Student Monitoring
A core feature of the newly launched MCD EduLife 2.0 portal is bridging the communication gap between municipal schools and households. For the first time, parents will have direct digital access to their children’s daily lives at school.
Through custom dashboards, parents can now monitor:
-
Daily Student Attendance: Real-time logging of whether a child has safely arrived in class.
-
Academic Progress Cards: Fast access to test scores, subject-wise progress report evaluations, and teacher feedback.
-
Mid-Day Meal Verification: Digital logs showing the distribution and daily quality of nutritional meals provided to students.
-
Meritorious Recognition: The portal will host a public showcase of high-achieving student profiles to help sports clubs and talent academies identify gifted youth.
