Reporting Schedule and Documents Required
Candidates allotted a Maharashtra NEET UG seat in Round 1 must report to the allotted institute between August 31 and September 4, 2026, carrying the printed provisional allotment letter along with original documents. These typically include the NEET UG 2026 admit card and scorecard, HSC and SSC mark sheets, domicile and nationality certificates, and category, caste validity, or non-creamy layer certificates where applicable, along with self-attested photocopies of each. Institutes may issue additional reporting instructions of their own, so candidates are advised to check both the CET Cell’s notices and any communication from their allotted college before travelling.
Choices After Round 1 Allotment
Candidates who receive a Maharashtra NEET UG Round 1 seat have more than one option. Those satisfied with the allotted college can report, pay the prescribed fee, and submit the Status Retention Form to freeze the seat. Candidates who want to try for a better preference in Round 2 can still report and pay fees to hold the seat, but should not submit the Status Retention Form if they intend to remain in contention for an upgrade. Candidates who do not receive a seat in Round 1 are not out of the process and remain eligible to participate in subsequent counselling rounds, subject to the official schedule.
