Aizawl/Panaji, February 28, 2024: The Class 12 board examinations 2024 have commenced from today for both Mizoram Board of School Education (MBSE) and Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (GBSHSE). Lakhs of students across exam centers in the two states are appearing in the first paper as per revised timetables.
MBSE’s English paper scheduled between 10 AM to 1 PM marks the opening of the exam. GBSHSE papers from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM likewise signal the start of Goa higher secondary public examinations. Both boards will wrap up the annual exercise by March end.
Marking Scheme
- Distinction – Above 75%
- First Division – 60-74%
- Second Division – 50-59%
- Third Division – 33-49%
Students need to secure an aggregate minimum of 33% to pass overall (theory and practical combined). Separate passing in individual papers is also mandatory.
Class 12 board Exams 2024: Guidelines
- Reach the center 30 minutes before the start
- Carry admit card and school ID without fail
- Don’t bring electronic devices to the hall
- Have stationery items – pens, pencils, etc.
Any discrepancies in admit card or ID details must be rectified beforehand through schools. Attendance protocols and banned materials rules specified by both boards need compliance without violations to avoid cancellation.
