New Delhi, March 15,2024: The National Board of Examinations (NBE) is set to issue the admit cards for the National Eligibility Entrance Test – Master of Dental Surgery (NEET MDS) 2024 today, March 15. Candidates can download their NEET MDS admit cards 2024 from the official website, nbe.edu.in. The NEET MDS 2024 examination is scheduled to be held on March 18th.
Meanwhile, the Supreme Court is expected to hear a plea today regarding the postponement of the NEET MDS 2024 exam. Aspirants have approached the top court seeking a postponement after the health ministry deferred the decision on the matter. Previously, the apex court had disposed of the NEET MDS 2024 postponement case in February, indicating that the Centre should decide on the issue.
Recent updates include the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) extending the internship completion deadline for NEET MDS 2024 to June 30 and reopening the registration facility for eligible aspirants until March 11.
The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has clarified that reports suggesting the absence of NEET MDS exam centers in the North-East are false. The ministry stated that there are examination centers in various Northeastern states, including Shillong, Naharlagun, Kohima, Aizawl, Guwahati, and Kolkata. Additionally, only 560 candidates registered for NEET MDS 2024 during the second registration window.
Concerns regarding the NEET MDS 2024 exam postponement to July have been raised by students and doctors’ bodies. They cite inadequate preparation time, the ineligibility of thousands of aspirants, and delayed counseling, which is scheduled to commence in August, leading to a prolonged waiting period for candidates.
