The Rajasthan Department of School Education has released the NMMS Rajasthan Result 2026 on May 26, 2026 at the official Shala Darpan portal at rajshaladarpan.rajasthan.gov.in. Students who sat for the National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship (NMMS) examination on November 16, 2025 can now check their results and download their scorecards using their roll number and CAPTCHA code.
The NMMS is a centrally sponsored scholarship scheme launched in May 2008. Its core purpose is to prevent talented students from economically weaker families from dropping out of school after Class 8 due to financial pressure.
Scholarship Amount and Benefits
- Annual scholarship: Rs 12,000 per year
- Monthly benefit: Rs 1,000 per month
- Duration: Class 9 through Class 12 (4 years)
- Total scholarship over 4 years: Rs 48,000
- Payment method: Direct to student’s bank account by SBI under Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) in quarterly instalments
Who Is Eligible for NMMS
- Students who are currently in Class 8
- Family annual income from all sources must not exceed Rs 1,50,000
- Must have cleared the state-level examination following NCERT guidelines
- The exam consisted of two papers of 90 minutes each (with extra time for students with special needs)
What Selected Students Must Do
Qualified students must ensure they have an active bank account linked to their Aadhaar card to receive scholarship payments without delays. Those who face any issues with bank account linkage should contact their school principal or the local education department office for assistance.
Students who did not qualify in this attempt are not disqualified permanently. They may appear again next year if they are still in Class 8 at the time of the next examination.
