The Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE), Tamil Nadu has extended the TNEA 2026 document upload deadline to June 6, 2026, giving one final day for the more than 2 lakh registered candidates to upload their required certificates at the official portal @tneaonline.org. The registration deadline was June 2, 2026. Only students who upload their documents on time will be eligible for the certificate verification process starting June 8, 2026, without which candidates cannot participate in TNEA counselling and seat allotment.
TNEA is Tamil Nadu’s state-level engineering admission process conducted by DoTE for admission to B.E. and B.Tech programmes at over 400 colleges across Tamil Nadu offering more than 2 lakh engineering seats. There is no separate written entrance exam — admissions are based strictly on Class 12 marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, normalised to a total of 200 marks.
