New Delhi, March 16, 2024: The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) has initiated the evaluation process for the UP Board Class 10 and 12 exams today.
Evaluation Details:
Commencement: The evaluation of Class 10 and 12 board exam papers started today, with 1,47,097 examiners appointed for the task.
Duration: The evaluation process will span 13 working days, from March 16 to March 31.
Holi Break: In observance of the Holi festival, the evaluation work will be suspended from March 24 to March 26.
Result Expectations:
- The UP Board exam results for 2024 are anticipated to be declared in April.
- Last year marked the fastest declaration of UP Board results in 100 years.
Registration Statistics:
- A total of 55,25,308 candidates registered for the UP Board exams this year.
- Out of these, 29,47,311 candidates applied for the UP Board Madhyamik exams, while 25,77,997 registered for the UP Inter board exams.
Evaluation Centers and Personnel:
- The board has set up 131 evaluation centers for Class 10 board exams and 116 centers for Intermediate exams.
- For the evaluation process, 94,802 examiners have been appointed for Class 10 exams, and 52,295 for Intermediate exams.
Security Measures:
- Stringent security arrangements have been implemented to curb malpractices during exams.
- The board has installed over 2.90 lakh CCTV cameras with voice recorders across 8,265 examination centers for continuous monitoring.
Reduction in Malpractice Cases:
- The board reported a significant decrease in cases of cheating and unfair means compared to previous years.
- The number of cheating cases, pseudo candidates, and other malpractices have notably reduced from 2020 to 2024.
