1.5 Lakh Women Must Complete e-KYC by November 18NewsIMTS

₹1,500 monthly financial aid will continue for eligible women under Maharashtra's Ladki Bahin Yojana only if they complete mandatory e-KYC by November 18, 2025. The scheme, launched in June 2024, provides direct bank transfers to women aged 21-65 years with family income below ₹2.5 lakh annually. The e-KYC process began on September 18 on the official portal https://ladakibahin.maharashtra.gov.in and must be completed within two months. Documents required include Aadhaar card, domicile certificate/ration card/voter ID, income certificate, and Aadhaar-linked bank account details. The Maharashtra government has made annual e-KYC mandatory to ensure transparency and prevent fraudulent beneficiaries. Officials warn beneficiaries to use only the official website for verification as fake websites are appearing in search results. The free verification process ensures the monthly ₹18,000 annual benefit reaches genuine recipients. (Updated 30 Oct 2025, 18:59 IST; source: link)

Maharashtra women must complete e-KYC by November deadline

Around 1.5 lakh women beneficiaries of Maharashtra's Ladki Bahin Yojana need to complete their electronic Know Your Customer (e-KYC) verification by November 18, 2025. This mandatory process, which began on September 18, ensures that the monthly financial aid of ₹1,500 continues without interruption. The scheme supports women aged 21-65 years whose family income falls below ₹2.5 lakh per year. The government introduced this annual verification requirement to maintain transparency and prevent fraud in the welfare program that provides ₹18,000 annually to each eligible woman.

Documents needed and how to complete the verification process

Women must visit the official portal at ladakibahin.maharashtra.gov.in to complete their e-KYC within the two-month window. The verification requires several documents including an Aadhaar card, proof of residence (domicile certificate, ration card, or voter ID), income certificate, and details of an Aadhaar-linked bank account. Officials have warned beneficiaries about fake websites appearing in search results and emphasized that the verification process is completely free. This verification ensures that government benefits reach only genuine recipients and maintains the integrity of the direct bank transfer system.
