June 14, 2024, Agartala,: Tipra Motha MLA Ranjit Debbarma called for a thorough investigation into the alleged question paper leak scandal that has rocked the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC). The controversy centers around the leaked question papers for an exam intended to fill 110 posts within the council, causing the cancellation of the exam and leading to public outrage.

The issue came to light on June 6, 2024, a day before the scheduled examination, when the question papers were reportedly leaked. This incident has not only disrupted the recruitment process but also tarnished the reputation of the council controlled by the Tipra Motha party. The leak has raised serious concerns about the integrity of the recruitment process and the accountability of those involved.

Tipra Motha MLA Demand Justice

Tipra Motha MLA Ranjit Debbarma has been vocal about the need for immediate action. “An FIR against the chairman and other members of the recruitment board must be lodged. They should face an investigation,” Debbarma demanded. His call for an investigation reflects the frustration and disappointment felt by many over the breach of trust in the recruitment process

Recruitment and Governance

The recruitment process aimed to fill various positions, including sub-zonal development officers, among the 110 posts. The cancellation of the exam has delayed the filling of these crucial roles, affecting governance and development within the tribal areas. The council’s chief executive member, CK Jamatia, has also been urged to step down until the investigation is complete.

Reaction

The reaction from the community has been one of anger and dismay. Residents and aspiring candidates are demanding transparency and swift action to restore faith in the council’s recruitment process. Tipra Motha chief Pradyot Kishore Manikya Debbarma has supported the call for accountability, emphasizing the need to uphold the integrity of the council’s operations

The alleged question paper leak scandal in Tripura has sparked a significant demand for accountability and transparency within the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council. With political leaders calling for an FIR and an investigation, the focus remains on restoring trust in the recruitment process and ensuring such incidents do not recur. The community awaits decisive action to address the breach of trust and uphold the council’s integrity.
