Investigation reveals financial trail behind the blast

Investigators have uncovered that the terror module pooled together Rs 26 lakh to purchase explosives for the Red Fort blast. Of this amount, Rs 3 lakh was spent on NPK fertiliser, a chemical commonly used in making bombs. As part of the widening investigation, police questioned a tea seller in Wazirpur where Umar Nabi had briefly stopped before the incident. They also examined records at a mosque near Ramlila Maidan and detained a man named Dinesh for selling fertilisers without proper licensing.
