Delhi Police detain Al Falah doctors linked to Red Fort blast

Delhi Police have detained three people, including two doctors from Al Falah University, in connection with the car explosion near Red Fort. The doctors, Mohammad and Mustakim from Nuh, Haryana, were reportedly friends with Umar Nabi, who drove the car involved in the blast. Police investigations revealed the doctors had been in contact with terror suspect Muzammil Ganaie. One of the detained doctors was in Delhi on the day of the explosion for an interview at AIIMS. The detentions followed joint raids by Delhi Police Special Cell and the National Investigation Agency in Haryana's Dhauj, Nuh and nearby areas on Friday night.

Investigation reveals financial trail behind the blast

Investigators have uncovered that the terror module pooled together Rs 26 lakh to purchase explosives for the Red Fort blast. Of this amount, Rs 3 lakh was spent on NPK fertiliser, a chemical commonly used in making bombs. As part of the widening investigation, police questioned a tea seller in Wazirpur where Umar Nabi had briefly stopped before the incident. They also examined records at a mosque near Ramlila Maidan and detained a man named Dinesh for selling fertilisers without proper licensing. The coordinated raids across multiple locations suggest authorities are tracking both the operational and financial networks behind the attack.
