The online application window opened on May 21 and candidates can apply at www.ssc.gov.in until June 22, 2026. The last date for fee payment is June 23, 2026.
The SSC CGL recruitment covers 40 different posts, including popular positions such as Assistant Section Officer, Income Tax Inspector, Assistant Audit Officer, CBI Sub Inspector, and Examiner. Candidates with a graduation degree from a recognized university are eligible to apply. The age limit varies between 18 to 32 years depending on the post, with age relaxation applicable for reserved categories as per government rules.
The selection process includes Tier 1 and Tier 2 computer-based examinations, followed by document verification. There is no interview stage this year. The SSC has introduced sectional timing in both Tier 1 and Tier 2 exams for 2026.
