The Railway Recruitment Board has released the notification for 11,127 Assistant Loco Pilot posts under CEN 01/2026. The online application process started on May 15, 2026, and the last date to apply is June 14, 2026. Candidates can submit their applications through the official RRB portal at rrbapply.gov.in.
The minimum age for applying is 18 years, and the maximum age limit is 30 years as on July 1, 2026. Age relaxation is available for reserved category candidates as per Indian Railways’ regulations. Candidates must hold an ITI diploma or a degree or diploma in engineering from a recognized institution to be eligible.
The application fee for General and OBC candidates is Rs 500, and for SC, ST, ex-servicemen, PwBD, female, transgender, minorities, and Economically Backward Class candidates it is Rs 250. A partial refund of Rs 400 for General/OBC and Rs 250 for other categories will be made after appearing in the Stage I examination.
The RRB has also announced that vacancies have been enhanced through a recent corrigendum. Candidates interested in a railway career should apply early to avoid last-minute technical issues on the portal.
