The controversy around the NEET UG 2026 question paper leak has reached the highest court, with the Supreme Court expressing concern that lessons from past exam irregularities have not been fully learned. The apex court has sought a report from the NTA on the steps taken in response to the recommendations of a high-level committee of experts examining the leak.

The original NEET UG exam, held on 3 May 2026 across 551 cities in India and 14 cities abroad with over 22 lakh candidates, was cancelled on 12 May 2026 following allegations of a coordinated paper leak, triggering protests and a CBI investigation. The Union Education Ministry has ordered strengthened security measures for the re-exam scheduled on 21 June 2026. In a candidate-friendly move, aspirants will receive 15 extra minutes, with the test running from 2 pm to 5:15 pm, and the Punjab government has announced free bus travel for students reaching exam centres.

For students, the priority is to stay focused on preparation and follow only official NTA updates. Eligible candidates should track the re-exam admit card schedule and complete the fee refund process before the deadline.

Quick Update: Supreme Court seeks NTA report on NEET paper leak. Re-NEET on 21 June 2026 with tighter security and 15 extra minutes.

Key Highlights:

  • Supreme Court seeks NTA report on NEET UG 2026 paper leak
