The most awaited result in engineering education this year is just hours away. The JEE Advanced 2026 result will be officially declared on June 1, 2026, at 10:00 AM IST at jeeadv.ac.in. Conducted by IIT Roorkee on May 17, 2026, the result will determine IIT admissions for thousands of engineering aspirants across India. Along with the result, the final answer key and the All India Rank (AIR) list will also be published simultaneously.
How to Check JEE Advanced 2026 Result
Students will need the following to log in:
- JEE Advanced 2026 registration number
- Date of birth
- Registered mobile number
The scorecard will include subject-wise marks, aggregate marks, category rank, and All India Rank. IIT Roorkee will also announce the top AIR 1 to 10 rankers zone-wise across all seven IIT zones at the time of result declaration.
JoSAA Counselling Starts June 2
Candidates who qualify the JEE Advanced 2026 can register for JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority) 2026 counselling starting June 2, 2026, at josaa.nic.in. JoSAA manages seat allocation for 23 IITs, 31 NITs, 26 IIITs, and 33 Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs) — a combined total of more than 59,000 seats across India.
Important Points for JoSAA 2026
- Registration opens: June 2, 2026 at josaa.nic.in
- No registration fee for JoSAA counselling
- Choice filling, choice locking, and seat allotment rounds follow registration
- Candidates who did not qualify JEE Advanced can still use JEE Main 2026 rank for NIT, IIIT, and GFTI seats through JoSAA
- JEE Main 2026 qualifying candidates: approximately 2,50,182 students declared eligible for JEE Advanced
- Candidates must maintain a minimum 75 percent in Class 12 (65 percent for reserved categories) for IIT admissions
Students should begin researching branch and campus preferences today itself, as the choice filling window after June 2 is time-limited and mistakes at this stage have long-term consequences.
