The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to release the Re-NEET UG 2026 city intimation slip on 31 May 2026 or by June 1 at the latest, as confirmed by multiple official sources. Over 22 lakh medical aspirants registered for the original NEET UG 2026 exam are waiting for this document, which will officially inform them of their allotted exam city for the rescheduled examination on June 21, 2026.
Why the Re-Exam Is Happening
The original NEET UG 2026 exam held on May 3, 2026, was cancelled by NTA on May 12 after a confirmed paper leak was detected by central agencies. The government announced a fresh re-examination with no additional fee and no fresh registration required. The CBI is currently probing the paper leak, and Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has confirmed no one involved will be spared.
City Slip vs Admit Card What Is the Difference
The city intimation slip is not the hall ticket. It only tells candidates which city their examination centre will be located in. This allows students time to arrange travel and accommodation.
