The University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) June 2026 is scheduled to be conducted from June 22 to June 30, 2026, in Computer-Based Test (CBT) format across multiple cities in India. The National Testing Agency (NTA), which conducts the exam, had extended the registration deadline to May 23, 2026 after receiving numerous requests from candidates.
With registration now closed, qualified and registered candidates are now awaiting the release of city intimation slips and admit cards, both of which are expected before June 15, 2026, as per NTA’s official communication.

Eligibility Criteria at a Glance
- Candidates must hold a Master’s degree or equivalent in the relevant subject from a recognised university
- General category: Minimum 55% marks in postgraduate degree
- OBC (NCL), SC, ST, PwD, and Third Gender: Minimum 50% marks
- Final-year postgraduate students are also eligible to apply

Candidates who have registered successfully should download their admit card from ugcnet.nta.nic.in as soon as it is released. No individual intimation will be sent by NTA.
