The National Testing Agency (NTA) confirmed that the Re-NEET UG 2026 examination will be conducted tomorrow, June 21, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM across more than 5,400 centres in over 565 cities in India and abroad. Over 22.79 lakh medical aspirants are appearing in the most security-intensive civilian examination ever held in India. The Re-NEET 2026 admit card was released on June 14, 2026 at neet.nta.nic.in. All candidates must carry the newly issued admit card — the original May 3, 2026 admit card is invalid.

NTA confirmed it is fully prepared for smooth and secure conduct of the re-examination. A separate advisory has also been issued for candidates regarding biometric verification exception protocols, dress code, and permissible items.

Re-NEET UG 2026 Exam Day Timeline

Event Time
Centre Entry Opens 11:00 AM
Biometric Verification Begins 11:00 AM onwards
Last Entry into Examination Hall 1:30 PM
Exam Start 2:00 PM
Exam End 5:15 PM

Key Security Measures for June 21

  • Indian Air Force (IAF) aircraft transporting question papers from printing presses to exam centre cities — a first for any civilian examination in India
  • CRPF and CISF personnel deployed to guard papers at distribution centres after IAF delivery
  • Biometric Aadhaar authentication mandatory at all centres — no entry without successful verification
  • Telegram temporarily restricted in India until June 22, 2026, and its message-editing feature disabled until June 30, 2026, to prevent fake paper leak fraud
  • NEET paper setters under strict lockdown until exam completion
  • Prohibitory orders (Section 163 BNSS) imposed in multiple districts including Gurugram — gatherings and weapons banned within 200 metres of exam centres

Documents Every Candidate Must Carry

  • Re-NEET 2026 Admit Card (released June 14 at neet.nta.nic.in) — NOT the original May 3 admit card
  • One valid original government-issued photo ID: Aadhaar card, Passport, PAN card, Voter ID, or Driving Licence
  • One passport-size photograph (same as uploaded in application form)
  • Self-declaration form (if applicable)

Dress Code and Permissible Items

NTA‘s official advisory specifies:

  • Wear light clothing with low-heeled slippers or thin-soled sandals
  • Shoes are not permitted at the examination centre
  • No heavy embroidery, large buttons, badges, or metal accessories
  • No dark full-sleeved clothes — light clothing preferred for easier security checks
  • Transparent water bottle and transparent stationery pouch are permitted
  • Candidates wearing religious items such as hijabs, turbans, or kalwas must report early for additional frisking
  • Do not sign the admit card in advance — signature must be made in front of the invigilator only

Technical Glitch Update

NTA acknowledged a report that a candidate from Nagpur was incorrectly allotted an exam centre in Abu Dhabi due to a technical error. The Change of Venue advisory has also been issued separately for candidates scheduled at Harivansh Rai Bachchan Cultural Centre, University of Allahabad, Prayagraj. Affected candidates can check revised venue details at neet.nta.nic.in.

Special Train for NEET Candidates

South Eastern Railway’s Chakradharpur (CKP) Division will run a special train between Rourkela and Tatanagar on June 21 to help students reach their exam centres. Multiple state governments including Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Bihar, Odisha, and Uttarakhand have announced free bus travel for NEET re-exam candidates on production of their admit card.

What Students Must Do Before Sleeping Tonight

  • Keep the Re-NEET 2026 admit card printed in colour and ready
  • Verify the exam centre address on the admit card
  • Visit the exam centre physically today if possible to check the route and timing
  • Carry all required documents in a transparent pouch
  • Sleep early and eat a proper meal before 12 PM tomorrow
  • Check neet.nta.nic.in for any last-minute venue change notifications

Fee Refund Portal: Candidates who do not wish to appear can still apply for fee refund at neet.nta.nic.in. The fee refund window closes on June 22, 2026.
