The National Testing Agency (NTA) confirmed that the Re-NEET UG 2026 examination will be conducted tomorrow, June 21, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM across more than 5,400 centres in over 565 cities in India and abroad. Over 22.79 lakh medical aspirants are appearing in the most security-intensive civilian examination ever held in India. The Re-NEET 2026 admit card was released on June 14, 2026 at neet.nta.nic.in. All candidates must carry the newly issued admit card — the original May 3, 2026 admit card is invalid.
NTA confirmed it is fully prepared for smooth and secure conduct of the re-examination. A separate advisory has also been issued for candidates regarding biometric verification exception protocols, dress code, and permissible items.

Key Security Measures for June 21
- Indian Air Force (IAF) aircraft transporting question papers from printing presses to exam centre cities — a first for any civilian examination in India

Dress Code and Permissible Items
NTA‘s official advisory specifies:
- Wear light clothing with low-heeled slippers or thin-soled sandals
- Shoes are not permitted at the examination centre
- No heavy embroidery, large buttons, badges, or metal accessories
- No dark full-sleeved clothes — light clothing preferred for easier security checks
- Transparent water bottle and transparent stationery pouch are permitted
- Candidates wearing religious items such as hijabs, turbans, or kalwas must report early for additional frisking
- Do not sign the admit card in advance — signature must be made in front of the invigilator only
Technical Glitch Update
NTA acknowledged a report that a candidate from Nagpur was incorrectly allotted an exam centre in Abu Dhabi due to a technical error. The Change of Venue advisory has also been issued separately for candidates scheduled at Harivansh Rai Bachchan Cultural Centre, University of Allahabad, Prayagraj. Affected candidates can check revised venue details at neet.nta.nic.in.
Special Train for NEET Candidates
South Eastern Railway’s Chakradharpur (CKP) Division will run a special train between Rourkela and Tatanagar on June 21 to help students reach their exam centres. Multiple state governments including Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Bihar, Odisha, and Uttarakhand have announced free bus travel for NEET re-exam candidates on production of their admit card.
